In this role, you will work on a variety of backend tasks, including database management, API integration, and writing clean, efficient code. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and expand the functionality of a large, existing web application. Develop and optimize PHP-based code, using MVC frameworks to build scalable and maintainable applications. Work extensively with MySQL/MariaDB or similar relational databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. Integrate third-party APIs (including payment gateways and other services) into applications. Create and maintain APIs for use by other services or teams. Write and optimize code to handle medium to large datasets efficiently. Collaborate with front-end teams, leveraging a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
