Job Description

Job Title: Second-Class Boiler Operator (PREFER KERALA PERSON)

Location: Tharaikudi road , sayalgudi, ramanathapuram district
Department: Production
Reports To: General manager / Production Manager / Plant incharge/ Plant supervisor

Job Summary:

The Second-Class Boiler Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining boilers and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations and preventive maintenance standards as per local/state boiler regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain steam boilers, hot water boilers, and related equipment.
  • Monitor boiler performance, temperature, pressure, water levels, and fuel supply.
  • Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain safe boiler operation.
  • Carry out minor repairs and notify the supervisor of any major mechanical issues.
  • Record boiler readings, maintenance activities, and inspection results in logs.
  • Conduct water treatment tests and adjust chemical dosing as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety standards, codes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support emergency response actions and shutdown/start-up procedures.
  • Operate RO plant for the required feed water of boiler.
  • labours management that are given in boiler section for operation and cleaning purposes.
  • Assist in energy conservation initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Second-Class Boiler Operator Certificate/License as per local government regulations.
  • High school diploma / ITI / technical diploma in Mechanical or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in boiler operations.
  • Familiarity with boiler water chemistry and chemical dosing systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety practices.
  • Ability to work in shifts and on-call as required.
  • work as a team with corresponding shift operators and maintanence team.
  • good communication skill with labours in boiloer section.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial plant or facility environment.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, and mechanical noise.
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
