We are seeking an experienced and innovative Food Research & Development Manager to lead the creation and improvement of spice blends, seasonings, and related food products. This role involves managing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to commercialization while ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and compliance with food industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flavor science, sensory analysis, and food safety standards, with a passion for culinary innovation and market-driven product development. Key Responsibilities Lead the formulation and development of new spice blends, seasonings, and related food products. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities. Oversee recipe formulation, testing, refinement, and sensory evaluation processes. Manage product quality testing, shelf-life assessments, and adherence to company standards. Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality raw materials. Work closely with production, QA, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches. Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP , and other food safety regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of recipes, trials, and testing procedures. Optimize product formulations for cost, flavor, shelf-life, and scalability . Lead, mentor, and manage the R&D team to meet project timelines and deliverables. Qualifications & Skills Bachelors/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science , or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in food product development (spices/FMCG preferred). Expertise in flavor science, sensory evaluation, and food safety compliance . Strong project management and leadership abilities. Creative approach with a passion for culinary innovation. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
