Job Overview A Telecaller plays a crucial role in the organization by managing outbound and inbound calls to promote products, generate leads, handle customer queries, and provide exceptional customer support. The primary objective of a telecaller is to connect with potential customers, explain the company’s offerings, and achieve sales or service-related targets. This position demands excellent communication skills, persuasive abilities, and customer relationship management. A telecaller also maintains accurate records of customer interactions and follows up on leads to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Outbound Calling Contact potential customers from provided leads or databases to introduce products or services. Explain product features, pricing, and benefits clearly and persuasively. Convince customers to purchase, subscribe, or register depending on company requirements. Schedule appointments for field sales executives or product demonstrations if necessary. 2. Inbound Call Handling Attend incoming calls from existing and prospective customers. Respond to queries regarding products, services, pricing, offers, and company policies. Provide appropriate solutions to customer problems in a professional manner. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional tone throughout conversations. 3. Lead Generation & Conversion Identify potential customers through cold calls and inquiries. Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, and social media promotions. Convert leads into confirmed sales or appointments by providing necessary information and assistance. Track and report lead status regularly to the team leader or manager. 4. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Handle customer complaints and grievances tactfully, escalating issues when required. Provide after-sales support and maintain continuous engagement with repeat customers. Keep updated records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM systems. 5. Data Management & Reporting Maintain detailed call logs, customer information, and feedback records. Update databases regularly to ensure information accuracy. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on calls made, leads generated, and conversions. Share insights and customer feedback with the sales and marketing teams to improve strategies. 6. Team Collaboration Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to align on targets. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve telecalling strategies. Assist team members by sharing best practices and successful approaches. Take part in training sessions to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge. Required Skills & Competencies 1. Core Skills Excellent verbal communication skills in English and local languages. Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities to convert leads into customers. Active listening skills to understand customer needs and respond effectively. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with CRM software or call-handling tools. 2. Soft Skills Confident, polite, and professional phone etiquette. Positive attitude and ability to handle rejection gracefully. Self-motivated and result-oriented approach. Good problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to customer queries.
