Department: Quality Job Profile Principal Accountability : Ensure quality of all products manufactured at the Plant and should meet the specifications for markets/ customers . Development of testing for newer grade material such as Duplex and Super Duplex Grade to give overall push to new quality standard of finished goods and improve market share . Reduce overall rejections on month-to-month basis by enforcing strict discipline of inputs, in-process checking, educating workforce on quality parameters. Work more focused on productivity improvement and maximizing output of employees and machines. To act as Management Representative. Implements ISO standard Ensure calibration of quality control equipment regularly. Develop quality control plans as per processes and actively participate in product development. Imparting necessary training to subordinates in quality and environment-related programs. In-depth Responsibilities : Take up the matter of quality with operational personnel on gaps related to in process results and non-conformances and fix responsibility of each production personnel as regards following the SOP. Coordinate with respect to problems related to product quality, including product complaints, with a view to achieving zero error. Based on the investigate report for out-of-specification results or failure concerning testing and manufacturing of products, work out modalities to ensure future improvement. To give technical inputs on products to QC on queries or for product complaints raised by local and international customers. Supervising, directing, and coordinating the activities of a quality control department. Enforce ISO norms vigorously throughout the organization for establishing quality standards . Install a culture of safety as the number one priority while managing the activities of the various quality related activities. Implement organizational quality policies and goals and implement these goals through the use of effective teamwork throughout the facility. Take corrective actions based on data interpretation and establish statistical quality controls throughout the organization. Establish product standards for approval and revisits them for revision if necessary Coordinates with third-party inspector. Acts as a change agent and is capable of developing people while holding them accountable. Prepares and reviews daily operating reports. Develop quality control plans as per processes and actively participate in product development. Imparting necessary training to subordinates in quality and environment-related programs. Budgeting, staffing, and spending allocation for the department. Interact closely with production, engineering, workshops, dispatches, stores, sales, and marketing to support existing customer relations. Co-ordination with departments: Within the Organizations : Plant Head. Departmental Heads Close interaction with Finishing, R&D, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance & HR Departments Outside the Organizations : Customers for quality-related issues. Certification bodies. Auditors Qualifications B.E /B.Tech Desired : Metallurgy or Mechanical Training background required: Training on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Training on Management system (QMS, EnMS, OHSAS,5S, Kaizen) Training in soft skills Data Analysis & decision Making Skills required: Technical, Managerial and Administrative
