SDET - QA Automation Engineer

As an SDET QA Automation Engineer in Benchmark & Index Management at LSEG, you will be responsible for automating Quality Assurance (QA) processes for business-critical applications. You will develop high-quality test software to address complex user interfaces, data-intensive operations, and process hand-offs. Your technical expertise and ownership will be crucial in the end-to-end software delivery cycle. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute and lead testing efforts through high-quality functional and automation test scenarios - Identify, prioritize, and perform tasks in the software development lifecycle - Develop tools and applications for automation using Python-based test frameworks - Automate tSQL Stored Procedure regression, component, and unit tests utilizing tSQLt and pytest - Utilize Generative AI and Machine Learning for data validation, anomaly detection, and automatic test case generation - Perform database and process performance testing using benchmarking frameworks and AI-based anomaly detection - Advocate for and implement engineering guidelines such as automation, code reviews, and CI/CD - Ensure high-quality, reliable products through automated regression test frameworks - Collaborate closely with business and engineering partners for product delivery - Drive a culture of engineering excellence through mentorship and peer reviews - Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes for improved efficiency and product quality Qualifications Required: - Over 5 years of experience as a Software Developer in Test in large-scale data-intensive platforms - Strong experience in test case design and automation testing using Python frameworks - Proficiency in QA and Test Automation suites like pytest and pandas - Experience with MS-SQL or PostgreSQL for data analysis and test script execution - Proficiency in Python (C# .NET or Java experience is beneficial) - Experience in AI/ML and Data Science technologies for anomaly detection - Familiarity with performance, security, and non-functional testing approaches - Solid understanding of AWS cloud technologies, particularly AWS EC2 - Experience in software engineering principles, CI/CD tools, and automation processes In addition, LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider with a culture focused on Integrity, Partnership, Excellence, and Change.
