SDET (Automation Test Engineer)

As an SDET (Automation Test Engineer) at our consulting company in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibilities will include translating test cases into automation scripts using C#, conducting manual testing of web-based applications and web services, debugging errors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Automate test cases using C# for GUI and API testing. - Adhere to coding standards and automation guidelines. - Conduct manual testing of web applications and services. - Debug web or server-related errors. - Independently execute various types of testing. - Conduct root cause analysis on automation failures. - Identify test cases for automation and contribute to automation planning. - Setup test data and execute automated test cases. - Collaborate with QA Managers/Leads and cross-functional teams. - Review automation code, address issues, and improve test scripts. - Follow test strategy and plans to maintain quality standards. - Escalate blockers and deviations promptly. Technical Skills Required: - Strong automation testing knowledge and experience. - Proficiency in C#. - Experience with web services and REST APIs. - Familiarity with tools like Fiddler, SOAP UI, POSTMAN. - Understanding of SQA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC. - Proficient in SQL and test data mining. - Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, or Playwright. - Ability to build frameworks using Modular, BDD, or POM patterns. - Working knowledge of TFS/MTM. - Experience in an Agile/SCRUM environment. - Understanding of defect management processes. Preferred Qualifications: - BE, MCA, or equivalent technical degree.
