SDE 2/3 Backend - Hybrid

As a Software Development Engineer III at Hiver, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our product to cater to thousands of users globally. With Hiver's rapid growth, processing over 5 million emails daily for numerous active users on the platform, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and mentor a team of intelligent engineers. Moreover, you will have the chance to enhance your skills through collaboration with experienced mentors. Your responsibilities will include developing new product features, enhancing existing services for performance and scalability, and tackling complex technical challenges to ensure the architecture is capable of handling increasing traffic. Additionally, you will be involved in building APIs, event-driven architectures leveraging scalable message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ, microservices based on performance needs, and frameworks for system performance monitoring and improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Develop a new API for users or enhance existing APIs within monolith applications. - Implement event-driven architecture using scalable message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. - Create microservices based on performance and efficiency requirements. - Design frameworks to monitor and enhance system performance. - Enhance and upgrade systems for secure storage of sensitive data. - Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams. - Debug production issues across services and various stack levels. - Collaborate with engineers from different departments to implement large-scale features. - Enhance engineering standards, tooling, and processes. Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience in scaling backend systems. - Proficiency in Ruby on Rails (RoR) with hands-on experience in at least one project. - Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture. - Experience in technologies like Kafka for building high-volume data pipelines. - Passion for building Lean APIs and efficient backend services. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write high-quality code. - Extensive experience with SQL Databases, and understanding of NoSQL databases and Caches. - Deployment experience on cloud platforms; AWS experience preferred. - High standards for working with production systems. - Ability to take projects to successful completion across various technologies and systems. - Thrive in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders and experts.,
