Role & responsibilities Pre-Bid Design: 1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical quarries. 2. Prepare the Bill of quantity for structure and civil works for tender estimates. Detail Engineering: 1. Prepare/ review the design calculation of the support structures and foundation for the substation equipment. 2. Prepare/ review design and details of gantry structure and foundations. 3. Prepare/ review design and details of earth retaining structures. 4. Understand/ review the soil investigation report and able to discuss with Geotech consultant/ client on geotechnical aspects. 5. Give necessary inputs to draftsperson and review civil drawings of towers, control building/ GIS building, substation equipment and cable trench. 6. Well versed with various design standard IS Codes/ EURO Codes/ American codes and should have worked on international projects. 7. Well versed with seismic design and detailing of buildings and other structures 8. Review the detail structural and fabrication drawing prepared by the fabricator. 9. Prepare the details BOQ of civil item. 10. Issue the drawings to site/ client 11. Technical support to site at the time of project execution and commissioning. 12. Collection of the site data by site visit.

Specific Role Requirements: Pre-Bid Design: 1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical quarries. 2. Prepare the Bill of quantity for structure and civil works for tender estimates. Detail Engineering: 1. HV (Primary) designs for 33 kV and above GIS/AIS Substation Engineering for Grid Interconnected Projects 2. Preparation of basic Single Line Diagram, Layout Plan & Section of Overall plant, Equipment control room, Earthing Layout, DSLP Layout, Trench Layout etc 3. Earthing design, Lightning design, Cable Sizing, Battery Sizing, Illumination system design, Sag Tension calculation, Short Circuit Force and Bus- bar Sizing as per IEEE/IEC. 4. Project related all Equipment Selection/ Sizing as per IEEE/IEC 5. Preparation of all Distribution/Auxiliary system. 6. Evaluation of vendor Drawings, GTP, Calculation & Technical Specs 7. LV/MV Engineering for the collector substation, unit substation & pooling station 8. Tender drawings, BOQ estimation, RFQ finalization & evaluation of various components, selection of equipment with best pricing options. 9. Co-ordination and integration with Automation, Civil & MEP. 10. Co-ordination of site & office team for execution of project Add-on Competency (Optional) Renewable project i.e. Solar, On-shore / Off-shore Wind, Battery Storage or hybrid Working experience with 3D Design Tools.
