Job Description

As a Mission Operations Engineer at Digantara, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of our space-based Space Surveillance and Intelligence (SSA) infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and well-coordinated operation of Digantara's space-based assets. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing detailed mission plans and flight procedures for both nominal and contingency operations related to Digantara's space missions. - Planning, scheduling, executing, and reporting real-time operations from Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) to spacecraft decommissioning. - Implementing operational automation methods and software scripts to streamline day-to-day operator tasks. - Designing and implementing strategies for testing, simulation, and validation of mission, fault, and autonomy features. - Supporting ground segment design and testing, including command and control, mission data processing, and associated infrastructure. - Conducting critical ground segment testing, such as radio-frequency compatibility testing and interface testing with remote ground facilities. - Participating in Mission Rehearsal events to train the mission team and validate mission design. - Contributing to operational documentation, including Flight Operational Handbook, Mission Operations Plan, and Commissioning and Decommissioning Plans. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or engineering-related programs. - At least 3 years of experience in space mission operations, satellite systems engineering, or Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT). - In-depth knowledge of satellite subsystems and orbital mechanics. - Proficiency in Python or any other scripting language. Preferred qualifications include: - 5 years of experience in spacecraft mission operations. - Experience across the lifecycle of a satellite mission. - Knowledge of ground station operations, RF communication systems, and protocols. - Understanding of network and telecommunications engineering. - Experience in software development and data analysis.
