Sas Administrator

• Installation and configuration: Install, configure, and maintain SAS software and related products.
• Maintenance and updates: Perform regular system maintenance, apply patches, and execute version upgrades.
• Monitoring: Monitor system performance, including disk space, memory, CPU usage, and network I/O.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve platform and user-related issues, including those from scheduled jobs.
• Backups and logging: Handle backups and maintain administrative logging.

Security and access management

• User management: Manage SAS metadata, including users, groups, roles, and permissions.
• Security implementation: Implement and maintain security measures and access controls.
• Compliance: Ensure data integrity and confidentiality, and work to meet compliance requirements.

Performance and optimization

• Performance tuning: Tune the system and optimize SAS application performance.
• Capacity planning: Plan and manage the capacity of the SAS environment.
• Server management: Check the status of SAS and related third-party servers and manage components like the object spawner.

User support and collaboration

• Technical support: Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Collaboration: Work with SAS developers, analysts, and other IT teams to deploy solutions and resolve issues.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAS administration.

• Experience with performance tuning and system optimization for SAS environments.
• Familiarity with data security practices and compliance regulations.
