SAP SD Consultant

This is a contract role for a Senior SAP SD Consultant. The Senior SAP SD Consultant will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, consulting with clients, managing business processes, and handling electronic data interchange (EDI). The consultant will work closely with the sales team to integrate and improve sales functions within the SAP SD module.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as subject matter expert for SAP SD, providing solution design and functional expertise in order-to-cash (OTC) processes.
• Gather business requirements, analyze gaps, and design solutions for pricing, billing, credit management, order management, and logistics execution.
• Configure and customize SD module, including partner determination, output determination, shipping, delivery, and invoicing.
• Integrate SD with MM, FI/CO, LE, GTS, and CRM as required.
• Lead workshops, blueprinting sessions, and system demonstrations with business teams.
• Support S/4HANA migration activities including simplification items and Fiori apps.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and offshore teams.
• Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEF).
• Conduct testing (unit, integration, UAT) and support cutover & go-live activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SD issues, ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize order-to-cash cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP SD consulting experience, including at least 2 full lifecycle implementations.
• Strong expertise in core SD functionalities: order management, pricing, billing, shipping, credit/debit memos, and rebates.
• Experience in integration with FI/CO (revenue recognition, account determination), MM, and LE.
• Proficiency with S/4HANA SD features (business partner, condition contract management, Fiori apps).
• Strong knowledge of OTC business processes in manufacturing, retail, or high-tech industries.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and leadership skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.

Nice-to-Have:

• SAP certification in Sales and Distribution.
• Experience with SAP BRIM, RAR, or Vistex add-ons.
• Knowledge of EDI, IDoc, and integration with third-party systems.
• Exposure to SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) for export/import compliance.
