SAP KMS Key Management Service Specialist

As an SAP KMS Key Management Service Specialist, you will design, build, and configure robust key management and encryption solutions that align with business, security, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with SAP Data Custodian to implement secure key lifecycle management and data protection across SAP Cloud applications and hybrid landscapes. This role requires strong technical ownership, solutioning capability, and leadership in driving secure encryption frameworks within enterprise environments. - Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP KMS under SAP Data Custodian. - Lead and manage a technical team performing key management service activities. - Own critical technical decisions and contribute to solution architecture across teams. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure encryption and data protection solutions. - Support client engagements across design, implementation, and post-deployment phases. - Ensure alignment of encryption solutions with business objectives and compliance frameworks. Professional & Technical Skills: Must-Have Skills: - Strong experience in conducting client workshops for SAP KMS solutioning. - Hands-on expertise in configuring and supporting KMS within SAP Cloud Platforms and SAP S/4HANA. - Deep understanding of encryption/decryption standards, including: - Symmetric encryption - Asymmetric encryption - Hybrid cryptographic models - Experience integrating SAP KMS with SAP and non-SAP applications. - Proficiency in cryptographic key lifecycle management (creation, rotation, expiration, revocation). - Knowledge of BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) and HYOK (Hold Your Own Key) models. - Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, DPDP, HIPAA). - Experience with external HSM integration (e.g., Fortanix, Thales) and customer-controlled key management systems.
