Description
As a Functional Consultant at EY, you will be part of the GDS Tax Technology team whose mission is to develop, implement, and integrate technology solutions to better serve clients and engagement teams. You will play a crucial role in developing deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding ERP, database, data analytics, and programming skills. Key Responsibilities: - Lead functional requirement workshops/meetings with Client teams and create detailed business requirement specifications. - Analyse data and documents to identify insights on the current client state, processes, functions, and operational practices. - Create and document business process models illustrating current and future state processes using various modelling tools. - Work collaboratively with client/onsite teams to build functional solutions through solution wireframes. - Convert business requirement specifications into detailed functional solutions/specifications for design and development. - Participate in work products review to validate against the baselined requirements. - Create functional test cases for UAT testing and assist the QA team in understanding requirements and reviewing test cases. - Develop User Manuals, Business User Training Decks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for solution transition and adoption. - Deliver end-user training and ensure a smooth transition to the client. - Create status reports and provide updates to the client against work scope. - Identify opportunities for business process improvement and optimization through automation. Qualifications & Experience: - CA/CMA with 4 to 8 years of experience. - Minimum 3 to 4 full-cycle implementation experience for financial transformation projects, preferably on the tax/accounting side. - Strong functional knowledge and work experience with ERP/EPM tools, preferably SAP. Functional and Technical Skillsets: - Financial Planning, Analysis modelling (GL, TB, Financial statements). - Tax domain knowledge in areas like International Tax and transactions, Transfer pricing, Legal Entity Forecasting, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPnA), Indirect tax, etc. - ERP/SAP foundational knowledge. - Experience in ERP implementation is preferred. - Experience with Business intelligence tools would have additional preference. Soft Skills: - Problem Solving: Understand core business issues, Problem root cause analysis (RCA), attention to details, apply creative thinking for building novel solutions. - Analytical Skillset: Situation and Case Analysis, Data Analysis & Interpretation, Business Process Analysis. - Decision making: Ability to make quick decisions out of the analysis findings and choices available. - Communication Skillset: Oral Communication, Written communication skills, Active listening and patience to work iteratively. - Personal strength: Systematic, meticulous, and well-organized. - Social skillset: Ability to collaborate and cooperate with cross-functional virtual teams, empathy towards fellow team members, Ability to adapt and work in ever-changing and uncertain environments.
