SAP FICO S4 Finance Consultant - India

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced

SAP FICO Consultant

with strong hands-on expertise in

SAP S/4HANA

. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of financial processes, outstanding configuration capability, and a proven track record delivering full-cycle SAP implementations. This role is ideal for a consultant who can work independently with business stakeholders and serve as a subject matter expert within finance and controlling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP FICO functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Drive S/4HANA Finance implementations, system enhancements, and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather requirements and transform them into robust SAP solutions.
• Configure and support FI modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, Taxation, and financial closing processes.
• Configure and support CO modules including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, COPA, and Product Costing.
• Assist with data migration, mapping, and validation in S/4HANA environments.
• Develop functional specifications for custom objects (RICEFW) and coordinate with technical teams.
• Support integration with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and PS.
• Handle system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare and deliver end-user training, test scripts, and documentation.
• Participate in go-live activities and provide ongoing post-production support.
  

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience.
• Strong S/4HANA Finance experience (must have at least one S/4 implementation or migration).
• Strong understanding of core finance processes: financial close, asset accounting, bank reconciliation, cost allocation, product costing, budget planning, and reporting.
• Solid configuration experience across both FI and CO submodules.
• Experience with Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and S/4HANA simplified data structures.
• Familiarity with Fiori apps related to finance.
• Ability to draft functional specs and work with ABAP developers.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues across integrated modules.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead workshops with business stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (if applicable).
  

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, retail, or professional services.
• Exposure to Group Reporting, Treasury, Revenue Accounting (RAR), or Project Systems (PS-FICO integration).
• Experience with Central Finance (CFin) is a plus.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
