SAP BTP RAP Developer - (6-12 Months Contract)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP BTP Developer with deep

expertise in SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) and ABAP coding to join our

dynamic team. This role requires extensive hands-on experience in developing and

implementing solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus

on SAP RAP for efficient development of cloud-native applications and services. You

will work closely with functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions

and ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Maintain SAP BTP Applications: Design, develop, and maintain cloud-

based applications and services on the SAP BTP platform using SAP RAP and

ABAP programming.

ABAP Development: Utilize advanced ABAP skills to write efficient, scalable, and

reusable code for both cloud-based and on-premise SAP environments.

Integration: Implement integration between SAP BTP applications and other SAP

systems, including S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and third-party systems.

SAP RAP Expertise: Leverage SAP RAP to design and implement cloud-native

applications and services using modern architectural patterns in SAP S/4HANA and

other SAP cloud solutions.

Optimization and Performance Tuning: Optimize performance, scalability, and

security of BTP-based applications using ABAP and RAP frameworks.

Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation,

including design specifications, code comments, and deployment procedures.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, functional

consultants, QA) to ensure the successful delivery of SAP BTP projects.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for any

issues related to SAP BTP, RAP applications, and ABAP code.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP BTP, RAP, and ABAP

developments, and apply new techniques and technologies to improve solution

quality and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP, with a strong

focus on SAP RAP and ABAP development.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of ABAP programming, including advanced techniques such as

ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits.

Expertise in SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming) and its application in cloud-

based solution development.

Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, and integration with

SAP S/4HANA.

Experience with SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 for building modern user interfaces.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, OData services, and JSON/XML data formats.

Tools & Technologies: Proficient in SAP development tools such as ABAP

Workbench, SAP HANA Studio, and Eclipse for ABAP.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in SAP systems and

provide timely resolutions.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the

ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,

Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Development

Associate – ABAP, SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP BTP) are a plus.

Desired Skills:

Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.

Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in relation

to SAP BTP.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams.

Experience with version control systems such as Git.
