SAP ABAP Expert Developer

As a SAP ABAP Developer (Expert) at BMW Techworks located in Chennai, you will be responsible for the following: - Understand the business requirements, prepare AS-IS and TO-BE documents, and obtain sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document. - Utilize ABAP debugging for new development/enhancements. - Configure the organization structure of Materials Management, including Purchase Organization, Valuation Area Plants, Storage Location, and Warehouse structure. - Prepare testing documents and conduct internal testing. - Create Master Data templates for objects like Material Master, Vendor Master, Excise Master, Info-records, Source List, and Purchase Orders. - Conduct integration testing with other modules and understand interfaces, IDOCs, and RFCs processing. - Develop the cut-over strategy for MM objects. - Prepare User manuals, conduct training for business process owners, and assist in go-live preparation and post-go-live support. - Interact with clients through meetings, calls, and emails. - Handle Tickets and Tasks, ensuring closure within defined SLAs. - Troubleshoot system issues and provide support by executing necessary changes through configuration. - Analyze and resolve Production Support calls and raise Change Requests (CRs) with Functional Specifications. - Prepare test data, test CRs, perform regression testing, and interact with consultants of other modules. - Provide user interface transactional solutions. Your qualifications should include: - B.TECH/B.E in a relevant field. - 10-15 years of experience in SAP ABAP development. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage incidents effectively. - Strong problem analysis skills and root cause identification abilities. - Proficiency in driving delivery until DOD. - Consultation approach to refine business requirements and match them to SAP standards. - Good time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Self-motivated, open to learning, and capable of taking ownership of tasks. - Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and travel as required. - Technical skills in development documentation, SAP module process configuration, and maintenance of functional documentation. - Knowledge of SAP FICO, SD, MM Skills, SAP ABAP, and S4HANA certification. Good to have skills: - Experience in S4HANA projects. - Familiarity with Agile Methodology and tools such as Confluence, JIRA, HP ALM, and JIRA (X-Ray).,
