Role Overview

SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain

  custom programs, interfaces, reports, forms (RICEFW)

  in S/4HANA.
• Build

  CDS Views

  ,

  AMDPs

  , and

  OData Services

  for analytics and integration.
• Design and develop

  cloud-ready extensions

  using

  RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model)

  and

  ABAP Cloud (Steampunk)

  .
• Work on

  SAP BTP

  (Business Technology Platform) for side-by-side extension and integration scenarios.
• Develop applications using

  CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)

  with Node.js or Java.
• Integrate SAP systems with external/non-SAP systems using APIs and BTP connectivity services.
  
• Collaborate with

  functional, UI5/Fiori, and integration teams

  for full-stack solution delivery.
• Participate in

  code reviews

  , performance tuning, and deployment management.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure adherence to SAP best practices.
  
• Support migrations and upgrades from traditional ABAP to

  S/4HANA and BTP environments

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 715 years of total experience in SAP development with at least

  2–3 years in ABAP on HANA and BTP

  .
• Hands-on experience in:
  

• ABAP on HANA

  (CDS, AMDP, OData)

• RAP / CAP Models

• ABAP Cloud / Steampunk environment

• S/4HANA extensibility

  (In-App & Side-by-Side)

• SAP Fiori/UI5 integration

• Strong understanding of

  BTP services

  (Cloud Foundry, Destination, XSUAA, Connectivity, BAS).
• Familiar with

  Git

  ,

  DevOps pipelines

  , and

  transport management

  .
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor junior developers.
