Job Summary

Starting Salary: $19.14 - $24.40Performs responsible, skilled work involving the operation of large side-loading automated vehicles (65,000 GVW) to collect residential and commercial refuse from designated areas of the City of Orlando. Work is performed under the supervision of a Sanitation Supervisor. Performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through direct observation of routes, trip tickets, and discussion of problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of the Solid Waste Driver program or two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment vehicles of 18,000 GVW or more and familiarity with hydraulics operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Class B CDL required. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
