Role Objective To lead and manage end-to-end solar project development activities, including land acquisition, feasibility, permitting, stakeholder management, and readiness for EPC execution, ensuring project milestones are met in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Planning & Development - Identify suitable sites for solar project development (greenfield/brownfield). - Conduct techno-commercial feasibility studies including irradiation data, topography, access to grid and water. - Develop and monitor project development plans, timelines, and budgets. - Coordinate internal and external stakeholders during project lifecycle. 2. Land Acquisition & Statutory Approvals - Oversee land due diligence, acquisition, and legal documentation in coordination with legal and liaison teams. - Secure all necessary permits and clearances including environmental, forest, local bodies, and utility permissions. 3. Regulatory & Policy Interface - Track central and state policies, tender opportunities, and regulations affecting solar development. - Engage with DISCOMs, SLDCs, STUs, and central agencies (MNRE, SECI) to ensure alignment with compliance requirements. 4. Stakeholder Management - Liaise with government bodies, landowners, local communities, and consultants. - Represent company in public hearings, regulatory submissions, and local authority engagements. 5. Coordination with EPC & Engineering Teams - Handover ready-to-execute projects to the EPC team with all required development inputs. - Provide continuous support for route surveys, site access, grid connectivity, and statutory compliance. 6. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, land, and communication logs. - Generate periodic reports on project development status, risks, and mitigation measures. Key Skills & Competencies - In-depth understanding of solar project lifecycle, regulatory framework, and land-related challenges - Strong leadership and project management skills (planning, execution, tracking) - Proficient in GIS tools, MS Project, or other project management software - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills - Risk assessment and mitigation capabilities - Strong analytical and decision-making abilities Qualification : - BE.Electrical - Preffered exp.
