Description
The primary objectives of this role is to focus on reinforcing relationships with current customers for sustained loyalty, actively expanding the customer base in the retail bakery sector and driving sales by promoting full use of the company's products. They aim to innovate by developing new products based on customer and market insights and strategically promote and launch these products in existing and new areas to enhance market share and brand visibility . Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Sales Generation & Demand Plan Attainment : Proactively identify sales opportunities, pursue leads, and achieve sales targets by effectively promoting and selling company products or services. Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained, balancing the need to meet demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's product or service offerings, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages, to effectively communicate value propositions to customers. Market Research: Conduct market research to gather insights into customer needs, preferences, and competitor activities, utilizing findings to inform sales strategies and enhance product offerings. Reporting and Analysis: Preparing timely market visit and consumption reports, assisting in evaluation processes, and forecasting sales volume by month, year, and product for the assigned territory. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback, and provide regular reports and analysis to management to track performance and identify areas for improvement. Marketing Support : To participate in seminars and product demonstrations. Additionally, the Sales Manager is tasked with making sales forecasts for current products and evaluating market potential for both existing and new products. Furthermore, they are required to gather and organize competitor and market data for informed decision-making. Product Promotion: Actively promote and demonstrate new products or promotions to customers, leveraging marketing materials and sales tools to increase awareness and drive sales. Customer Education: Educate customers on product features, usage, and benefits through effective demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to enhance customer satisfaction and product adoption. Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for product or service enhancements, process improvements, and training needs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, including pricing guidelines, sales protocols, and data confidentiality, to ensure legal and ethical business practices at all times. Sales Capability Building: Develop and align the organization through effective management and training of the sales team. Provide strong leadership with clear direction and motivation to achieve both financial and non-financial expectations. Coach team to strategically plan the day to maximize productivity based on the organization's customer contact plan. Graduates / Masters from University preferred, preferably from hospitality background Minimum 10 - 12 year of sales experience (B2B / HORECA / Institutional) Experience with food industry in Bakery Retail stand-alone and chains is an added advantage
