Role Description: We are looking to onboard a Shift Support Engineer to do MES application support for our Manufacturing IT team. Key responsibility of the Shift support engineer will be Keeping the light on / providing support to manufacturing lines in rotating shifts to ensure that the MES application and MES hardware support is provided to eliminate any production downtime. They would also be responsible to work on projects to deploy MES applications to new production lines and test new functionality developed for MES. The ideal candidate should have the following experience & Skill sets: 1. Qualifications: BE / BTech in ECE, EEE or CS or any bachelors degree 2. Experience: Around 2+ years of IT hardware support or MES Application support 3. Work Location: Sriperumbudur, Chennai 4. Work Hours: 8 Hours * 6 Days a week, 24*6 operation hours with Shift rotation 5. Mandatory Skills sets: a. Troubleshooting and installation of desktop, printer, and barcode scanner. b. Basic knowledge in network connectivity and troubleshooting. c. Installing and troubleshooting client application. d. Basic knowledge in Active directory, DNS and DHCP. e. Coordinating and support with vendor for machine integration for MES application. f. Troubleshooting in windows patch and antivirus update related issue. g. Application troubleshooting and issue resolution. 6. Desirable Skill sets: a. Basic knowledge in MES application and production process flow. b. Basic knowledge in MSSQL database. c. Experience / knowledge of integrating with PLCs, SCADA etc. would be added advantage d. Experience in machine automation using sensors, PLCs etc. would be added advantage 7. Desired Personal Traits: a. Flexible & adaptable b. Able to deliver under pressure c. Able to conceptualize physical processes and design IT solutions to meet the physical process requirements d. Able to learn new technologies quickly and deliver e. Good team player f. Ability to work with business stakeholders and team member
