Organisation Name – Salaam Bombay Foundation Position – Tobacco Cessation - Field Facilitator Location - Mumbai Experience Required – 1-3 years JOB DESCRIPTION: *Please note that LifeFirst is the Foundation's copyrighted Tobacco Cessation programme P rogramme Planning: · Understand the implementation of last year's LifeFirst plan and suggest improvements to Team Leader · Contribute to the development of the current year's LIfeFirst plan with preparation of Weekly/ Monthly/ Quarterly/ Half-yearly / Annual Plan · Contribute to the plan for the Awareness Sessions to be conducted in schools & Workplaces · Contribute to plan for Activities to be conducted in schools and workplaces · Contribute to the plan to be developed for follow-up sessions in Schools & Workplaces, through Face-to-Face visits & Calls LifeFirst Implementation - Schools & Workplaces: A) Schools : · Coordinate with Principals, Obtain Permissions and contact school staff & beneficiaries to conduct Programme at schools · Conduct Awareness Sessions for the Teachers at schools · Execute Awareness Sessions/ Orientation to beneficiaries & their parents · Identify the Tobacco users amongst the beneficiaries and encourage them to register for LifeFirst Counselling services · Conduct Counselling sessions with the registered Tobacco users (Group / Individual / Telephonic Counselling) · Conduct Follow-up sessions with the registered beneficiaries, according to the LifeFirst protocol · Maintain rapport with beneficiaries, Principals & other stakeholders and provide assistance to them as required in order to successfully complete the Cessation programme · Contribute to inviting schools affiliates for conducting the LifeFirst Programme B) Workplaces · Coordinate with Team Leader to understand the delivery process at the Workplace & respective roles to be performed · Conduct the Situation Analysis Survey (in-person / telephonic) during the first phase of the Implementation programme at the Workplaces · Conduct Awareness sessions for the Employees during the Implementation process · Identify the Tobacco users from the Employees and encourage them to register for the Cessation Counselling sessions · Conduct Follow-up sessions with the registered beneficiaries, according to the LifeFirst protocol · Conduct awareness sessions and cessation counselling for other community based groups allied to the workplace e.g. Skills, Education, Development & Innovation (SEDI), Self-help groups, farmers' associations etc C) Support Activities: · Travel across different parts in India, reside at workplaces and contribute with deliverables · Ensure to have an accurate count of the Information, Education & Communication (IEC) material inventory before the scheduled Awareness & Counselling sessions · Support in any research related activities & development of IEC material · Facilitate the activities for events at schools or workplaces · Contribute to conducting trainings for NGO Partner Affiliates as a part of the Train-the-Trainer programme for spreading Tobacco Cessation Awareness in Communities Data Management: · Maintain the attendance records of beneficiaries at schools & workplaces · Maintain school-wise & workplace-wise datasheets · Maintain School information (school names, Principal & staff contact information) and update the same regularly · Maintain Workplace contact information & update the same regularly · Maintain & update the basic Counselling & follow-up datasheets (GoogleSheet and WhatsApp calling sheets) for schools & workplaces regularly · Maintain recordings of Zoom meetings (online mode) for trainings conducted or events executed on WNTD Reports & Documentation: · Prepare Annual Data Report for every school where the LifeFirst Programme has been executed and submit the report to the Team Leader and school authorities · Prepare Case Study Reports / documentation of beneficiaries who have successfully quit Tobacco consumption & submit the report to the Team leader · Prepare and submit Monthly Reports to Team Leader Qualification and Experience Undergraduate or Graduate in any stream with good rapport building skills with children & teens in the age group of 12 to 18 years with 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred Competencies Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving ability, Good Verbal and Written Communication skills Skills and Knowledge Any previous relevant work experience working in the Social Development sector in the Education / Health sectors is preferable Reports to Reporting to Team Leader - Tobacco Cessation Vertical Compensation As per Industry Standards Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month Application Question(s): Are you in any way or form into Smoking or usage of Tobacco?

Community Mobilizer (Health & Nutrition) mumbai 2 - 5 years INR 2.5 - 4.0 Lacs P.A. Work from Office Full Time

Key Responsibilities: Classroom Facilitation & Student Engagement: Conduct engaging and interactive sessions on tobacco awareness, nutrition, and mental well-being. Encourage students to develop resilience and adopt healthy lifestyle practices. Foster a positive and trusting relationship with students to support their growth and confidence. Experiential & Community-Based Learning: Lead students in activities such as making their schools tobacco-free and sensitizing local vendors against selling tobacco products and junk food to children. Plan and execute community awareness initiatives with students on the ill effects of tobacco and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Encourage students to think beyond their limitations and nurture leadership skills. Collaboration & Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between schools and the organization, maintaining strong relationships with school authorities. Ensure timely documentation, including session reports, student attendance, and activity progress. Conduct school-based surveys relevant to the program and compile data for evaluation. Field Facilitation - Implementation of programs Qualifications & Skills: Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health, or a related field. Prior experience in facilitating sessions with adolescents, especially in government schools, is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students effectively. Ability to conduct interactive learning sessions and encourage student participation. Passion for health promotion, youth development, and community engagement. Basic reporting and documentation skills for tracking progress.
