· Develop, simulate, and validate robotic automation processes. · Selecting and placing equipment like robots, conveyors, and tools, ensuring their feasibility. · Perform cycle time analysis, reachability studies, and collision detection to ensure optimal robotic motion and accessibility within defined layouts. · Prepare and maintain detailed robot path programming, tool orientation, and motion logic, aligning with the process requirements. · Developing kinematics for 3D models and welding guns, and ensuring proper weld/joint distribution. · Verifying the entire simulation cell cycle time and optimizing robot programs for cycle time issues. · Generate and verify Offline Robot Programs (OLP) for various robot brands such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, and Yaskawa, and assist in uploading and testing these programs during commissioning. · Configuring Robot Controller Simulation (RCS) within simulation software and coordinating robot signal logic with software and validation/control teams. · Work closely with the layout design and process planning teams to verify cell layouts, fixture positions, and tooling access for robotic operations. · Support the development of digital twin models for virtual validation of automation lines and robotic cells. · Create detailed simulation documentation, including cycle time charts, robot process reports, motion studies, and simulation videos for project reviews and customer presentations. · Support virtual and physical commissioning by providing simulation data, program backups, and resolving discrepancies between offline and online robot behavior. · Support the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and internal knowledge documentation for robotic simulation best practices. · Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, templates, and digital validation practices within the team. · Diploma of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical OR Production OR Electrical OR Instrumentation & Control OR Industrial Engineering · Familiarity with robotics frameworks and platforms, such as RobotStudio, Fanuc RoboGuide, MotoSim etc and experience with robot programming languages, such as ABB's RAPID, Fanuc's KAREL. · Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. · Proficiency in Process Simulate, robot simulation, and BIW processes · Basic knowledge in weld balance and root cause analysis · Feasibility study, Line Layout planning, Basics of Robot application · Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC · Mechanical understanding of industrial equipment and machinery · Good understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theories and languages · Experience in at least one of the major 3D Modelling tools and the ability to quickly self-learn. · Experience in the major 3D Simulation tool/s (PS preferred) (and the ability to quickly self-learn any of the remaining.
