Job description Job Title: Purchase Executive Department: Procurement/Supply Chain Location: Ghansoli Industry: Color Cosmetics / Beauty & Personal Care Manufacturing Reports To: Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Head Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities for raw materials, packaging components, and indirect supplies essential to color cosmetics production. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management, and cost control, preferably within the beauty or cosmetics industry. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure raw materials (e.g., pigments, emulsifiers, waxes) and packaging items (e.g., tubes, compacts, bottles) in line with production requirements. Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for pricing, terms, and delivery timelines. Maintain and develop supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely supply. Coordinate with R&D and production teams to ensure alignment of material specs and delivery. Monitor inventory levels and initiate timely reorders to prevent production delays. Process purchase orders and track deliveries, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Manage documentation such as purchase requisitions, GRNs, and invoices for internal records and audits. Identify and resolve any supply chain issues including delays or quality complaints. Stay updated with market trends, pricing, and availability of cosmetic-grade raw materials and packaging innovations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Diploma in Cosmetics Technology a plus). 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in cosmetics, FMCG, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and packaging is highly preferred. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or equivalent). Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Attributes: Experience working with regulatory-compliant suppliers (FDA, BIS, etc.). Understanding of lead times and batch manufacturing processes.
