Safety Officer

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team on a contract basis for a construction project in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, compliance with safety regulations, and implementing safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site.
• Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks for workers.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national safety regulations.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to enhance workplace safety.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in construction safety.
• B.tech /BE & Diploma in Industrial & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in safety management (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations and Documentation.
• Experience in conducting safety audits and accident investigations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
