As a Scrum Master Specialist at Gainwell, you will have the opportunity to contribute your skills towards leveraging technology to assist clients in enhancing the health and well-being of the communities they serve, particularly the most vulnerable members. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this position: Your role in our mission includes providing collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and coaching to support the Scrum Team and Scrum process. This involves facilitating various activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, feedback meetings, sprint reviews/retrospectives, and more. Your guidance will help the Scrum Team understand the importance of clear and concise Backlog items to create high-value products. Additionally, you will manage defect triage, prioritize support to the Product Owner, and coordinate dependencies across teams via Nexus scrums, ensuring effective decision-making and collaboration. As a Scrum Master Specialist, you are expected to exemplify a Lean-Agile Mindset through Servant Leadership, leading and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption. You will champion and coach others in the utilization of Agile software development methodology, supporting changes that enhance the Scrum Team's productivity. Anticipating challenges, identifying risks, and recommending mitigations and solutions while removing impediments to team progress are also crucial aspects of your role. In terms of qualifications, we are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, along with 9-14 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master. A strong understanding of Agile values, principles, methodologies, and the development lifecycle is essential. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners to grasp key business objectives, develop backlogs, and prioritize stories. Additionally, your role involves mentoring the team, identifying cross-team dependencies, tracking progress utilizing metrics, fostering a high-performing Agile culture, and facilitating the formation and effectiveness of new Agile teams. Desired skills for this role include a deep understanding of Agile and SAFe/Nexus Principles, along with proficiency in managing cross-team dependencies and promoting optimal alignment of work. Candidates with prior experience in the Healthcare domain, specifically Medicaid, and the ability to commence work at short notice are preferred.
