Key Responsibilities: Counseling: Conducting individual and couples counseling sessions to address the emotional impact of infertility and IVF treatment. Education: Providing patients with clear and accurate information about the IVF process, potential risks, and expected outcomes. Support: Offering emotional support and coping strategies to help patients navigate the challenges of IVF, including managing stress, anxiety, and feelings of loss. Collaboration: Working closely with medical and clinical staff, including fertility specialists and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Patient Assessment: Conducting initial assessments to understand patients' emotional and psychological needs and developing personalized support plans. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records of counseling sessions and other relevant information. Resource Provision: Providing patients with information about additional support services, such as support groups or other relevant resources. Qualifications: Education: A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is typically required. Licensure: Licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) may be required. Experience: Experience in reproductive health or fertility counseling is preferred. Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills are essential.
