The role involves managing the daily operations of the logistics office to ensure efficient workflow, overseeing office supplies, equipment, and logistics documentation. You will be responsible for tracking the status of all shipments to meet deadlines and report any delays or issues to management. Additionally, you will maintain accurate inventory records, ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods, manage stock levels, reorder supplies, and conduct stock audits. As a part of the team, you will supervise and train logistics staff, schedule shifts, delegate tasks, and create a collaborative and safe working environment. Ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards is crucial. You will prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, inventory, and shipment status, review operational procedures for optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in addressing logistics, inventory, or shipment issues promptly, resolving discrepancies or damages with proper documentation, and collaborating with management to identify areas for improvement. Managing relationships with third-party vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining positive customer relations by ensuring timely deliveries and addressing complaints are also key responsibilities.
