We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies (Kanban and Scrum) to build and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications.

Mandatory Skills:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code
• Develop and maintain Shopify themes and customizations using Shopify Liquid
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic using JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
• Design robust and scalable database models using MySQL
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using RSpec and other testing tools
• Manage and integrate third-party services and Ruby gems
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
• Collaborate within Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) to define, design, and deliver features
• Lead and mentor junior developers, ensuring code quality and best practices
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 59 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development
• Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
• Strong experience with Shopify Liquid for theme and app development
• Deep understanding of MySQL and relational database design
• Solid understanding and experience with RSpec for automated testing
• Experience working with and managing Ruby gems and third-party APIs
• Familiarity with Kanban and Scrum Agile methodologies
• Previous experience working in fast-paced development environments
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proven experience as a team lead or mentoring other developers

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines
• Exposure to Shopify Plus and e-commerce integrations
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) is a bonus
