ABOUT THE ROLE
Design is the foundation of any product / IP But a design that doesnt know its tools is just a castle in the air Its destined to never see the daylight The design is as good as the tools allow them to be Without someone skilled enough to know how to apply their tools, a design doesnt evolve Every component of the design/product is a tool and learning to apply them for a given situation and problem, is what allows us to discover the utility for that Product People call it testing, market discovery, product discovery, We call it Solution Engineering And the tool that you would master is a Robotic Ar Your PRIMARY CONTRIBUTION will be towar ds: Supporting CynLrs design team with all the Robot & Robotic Arm related activities Design, develop and execute Experiments for algorithms, kinematics, and solutions that the design team comes up w ithHelp with simulating robot motion for dynamic path & physics for dynamic manipulation, algorithms and design and execute its test and validat ionHelp design team with Robot UI, IDE, Sample code, Safety of Robot operation in the Lab and all ?nuances, features, best practices and customizations of Robot Operat ionHelp with simulations and training of the robot for Object models and teaching the robot for pick, orient and place ta sksing up with strategies for solving the manipulation solutions, by constructing appropriate paths, interferences, collisions, sensing mechanisms and robot sequen cesHelp with augmenting the design team for interfacing with various Robot controllers and establishing communication protocols with the Robotic ArmsUnderstand grasping strategy and device gripper experiments, assist in gripper des ignStudy, Understand and Assist in choosing the right robot model for the right applica tionInterface with the customer and support the customer with solution implementation and deliv eryIdentify, Connect, and Manage Robot and Robot related accessory and technology vend ors, Job Requirem ents: S kills:Excellent with classification and operation variations between different Industrial Robots models and makesExcellent with Robot payload computations, dynamic payload varia tionsExcellent with work envelope understanding and designing for maximum and optimal reachExcellent with visualizing Robot movements and axis variations, joint position changes and robot body interfer encesExcellent with designing Robot Safe operations procedures, envelopes, and Auto-safety zoneGood knowledge and work experience with End-of-Arm tooling, grasp design and placement str ategyMust have a strong understanding of the Manufacturing process and Assembly lines Beyond W eldingMust have had in-depth experience with at least two Robot Programming IDE Preferably Doosan, UR, KUKA, plus Yaskawa or F lexivMust be adept with the kinematics & Dyn amicsExcellent with robot communication protocols Ethernet (UDP, TCP), RS232/485, Industrial communication protocols like Modbus, CAN , Good with Sensors, IO programming, PLC Automation, Cabling and Robot & Automation ecosy stemsProgramming skill with at least one Language Python / C++ / L abVIEW What do w e seek This role is shaped to be a strong confluence of Practice an d Theory, As a startup, we are neither blessed with boundless cash to say, ?theory never matches practice, so lets just jump into getting our hands dirty?, thereby lose money and material in blind experiments & endless tinkering / Jugaads without any concrete/viable results, nor are we blessed with boundless time to bury ourselves in tallying meaningless symbols in the name of math that cannot find its resemblance t o reality, Our pursuit is to Investigate the problem, translate it to theory, let the theory expose the unknowns, design experiments only for the unknowns to be known, thereby solving the problem ?Scientifically Informed, theoretically tallied and Investigatively ex perimented? What to expect the wor k to be like Expect your work to be entirely entrepreneurial like you run a startu p of your ownWhat does it meanUnlike in established organizations, the turbulence of the management and even isolated teams will directly impact what you are working on Sometimes on a daily basis, even leading to a change of the entir e requirement, Needless to say, the exciting yet demanding part of a start-up every passing day, the Company grows Expect things to be not orderly and requirements to be changing and ev olving rapidly, How will your Career Progress CynLr is at its genesis as a start-up and as an organization This role being the first to have been opened, it is the foundation of what would eventually be a for all the Robot Applications and Solutions in Industrial Autom ation using CynLr, The problem that we solve is multi-disciplinary, which interfaces with stakeholders from almost every Engineering Industry and every varie ty of strata in it, In this context, beyond Specializing in the current Role, which will grow as the organization expands, it also serves as a steppingstone into core technology design and development roles like Gripper Design, Sensor Design, Machine Learning Algorithm Design & Dev, Object Training and Task Model Specialist, Kinematics, Robot Design, Sensor Interface, Verification Validation, From the customer-facing side, it can evolve as an alternative to tech into Robot Integration, Application Support, Solution engineering, Business Development, Vendor & Supply chain Man agement, Sales, If rightly used, this role presents you an opportunity to Build a uni que Role of Your Own, ABOUT US As a foundational technology building company in Robotics & AI, CynLr builds visual robots that can intuitively learn to pick & handle even unknown objects without requiring any prior training, just like a human baby fiddling with objects CynLr calls this stack O bject Intelligence (OI), From fitting a screw to removing object out of its the plastic wrapper to automating the assembly of a car/gadget every such object handling task that involves "adapting on the fly" is not prior trainable & thereby remains non-automatable across the industries With OI's ability to learn on the fly, CynLrs focus is to universally automate factories and eliminate the need for complicated custom machines to manufacture products Thereby simplifying manufacturing into Universal Factories, which can be programmatically repurposed to produce a wide variety of Products, CynLr envisions the future factories to be decentralized, micro factories (not the Giga Factories) that could rather be hosted in your street-ends; opening up the possibility of Personalized Products liberating design of products from the constra ints of manufacturability,
