As a Robotics STEAM Educator, you will be leading engaging and hands-on learning experiences in robotics, electronics, and artificial intelligence for K-12 students. Your technical skills in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and programming will be crucial in inspiring young learners through STEAM education. - **Curriculum Development:** - Develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans integrating robotics, coding, electronics, and design principles using tools like Arduino and Raspberry Pi. - **Instruction & Facilitation:** - Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on activities for students across various grade levels. - Lead robotics clubs, coding sessions, and maker projects. - **Learning Experiences:** - Organize and facilitate robotics competitions, coding challenges, and group projects to promote problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. - **Student Mentorship:** - Mentor and guide students exploring robotics and AI concepts, providing encouragement and support in both classroom and extracurricular settings. - **Professional Development:** - Stay updated with advancements in robotics, AI, and STEM education. - Continuously improve instructional methods and materials. - **Collaboration:** - Work with school staff, administrators, and community partners to integrate robotics and AI into the broader educational experience. - **Outreach & Advocacy:** - Promote robotics and STEAM learning through school events, community outreach, and educational showcases. - Advocate for the importance of tech education in K-12. - **Evaluation & Assessment:** - Assess student learning using formative and summative methods. - Adjust instruction based on results and measure the impact of the program. **Qualifications:** - **Required:** - Experience in teaching or educational setting with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, and robotics kits. - Strong knowledge of programming concepts (Scratch, Python, C/C++) and hands-on hardware integration. - Ability to engage students at various skill levels, preferably in a K-12 or after-school environment. - Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. - **Preferred:** - Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering, Computer Science, Education (STEM-focused), or related field. - Prior experience in designing robotics curricula or leading student teams in robotics competitions. - Familiarity with AI tools and educational platforms is a plus. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in preparing students for future careers in technology and engineering. Your work location will be in person, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. If you have a year of work experience and counseling experience, it is preferred.
