Job Description – Business Development (ONDC) Designation: Manager / Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Business Development Location: Chennai Role Overview The Business Development team will be responsible for onboarding bus operators onto the ONDC platform through Roamie, ensuring execution of agreements between Roamie (Buyer) and the Operator (Seller). The role also involves building long-term relationships with operators to help grow their business through digital adoption and active engagement. Key Responsibilities Identify, engage, and onboard bus operators as sellers on ONDC through Roamie. Drive end-to-end onboarding process: Explaining the ONDC model and Roamie’s unique value proposition compared to OTAs. Collecting necessary documentation. Coordinating digital registration and catalog setup. Ensuring signing of agreements between Roamie (buyer) and the operator (seller). Educate operators on selling through ONDC and how it benefits their business. Visit and manage assigned bus operators regularly and work closely with them to grow their business through the Roamie platform. Handle operator objections and provide timely solutions. Source discounts/offers that help improve operator occupancy and customer acquisition. Effectively communicate new product developments and drive operator adoption. Manage on-ground marketing activities to grow operator presence on ONDC. Share timely market updates, competitive insights, feedback, and issues with the manager. Ensure operators’ compliance with ONDC requirements and support them during initial transactions. Collaborate with Roamie’s internal teams (tech, legal, operations) to deliver a seamless onboarding and growth experience. Educational Qualification Any Graduate Experience 2–6 years of experience in FMCG, Internet E-commerce, Mobility, Logistics, or related fields. Key Skills Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Willingness to travel extensively (minimum 12 days/month in market). Good knowledge of MS Excel and ability to track/report onboarding and performance metrics. Ability to simplify and explain digital processes to traditional businesses/operators. Fluency in English and local language is essential; Hindi will be an added advantage. Budget: Upto 8LPA (for suitable candidates) Working Days : 5 Day working (Mon-Friday)

Maintain office supplies and ensure timely procurement. Coordinate with vendors, support staff, and service providers. Document & Record Management: Maintain company-related legal and statutory documents in both digital and physical formats. Ensure all vehicle-related documents (RC, permits, insurance, fitness, PUC, etc.) are up to date. Maintain renewal trackers and ensure timely compliance. Banking & Financial Admin Support: Handle cheque deposits, withdrawals, and bank visits for official purposes. Coordinate with accounts team for documentation and submission. Maintain petty cash records and expense statements. Scheduling & Communication: Manage appointments, meeting schedules, and calendars for senior staff. Welcome and manage visitors and vendors at the office.
