RMC PLANT SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

The RMC Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire production process of ready-mix concrete, ensuring that quality, productivity, safety, and delivery standards are maintained. The role involves coordination between plant operators, maintenance staff, quality control, and dispatch teams to achieve efficient plant operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Production Management

• Supervise daily production of ready-mix concrete as per the mix design and client requirements.
• Ensure proper batching, mixing, and delivery of concrete with consistent quality.
• Monitor the functioning of batching plant, transit mixers, loaders, and other equipment.
• Plan production schedules based on daily orders and project demands.
• Maintain proper records of raw materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures, water) and production logs.

2. Quality Control

• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure concrete meets required strength and workability.
• Ensure that mix proportions and batching accuracy are as per approved mix design.
• Prevent and report any material contamination, incorrect batching, or improper loading practices.
• Oversee cube casting and test sample collection for lab analysis.

3. Maintenance and Equipment Supervision

• Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Report mechanical or electrical issues to the maintenance team for immediate resolution.
• Ensure all equipment (batching plant, weigh batchers, conveyors, silos, etc.) are kept clean and in working condition.

4. Inventory and Material Management

• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and coordinate timely procurement.
• Keep track of fuel consumption, spare parts, and plant consumables.
• Prevent material wastage and ensure proper storage of aggregates and cement.

5. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols for workers and machinery operation.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce PPE usage at the plant.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure pollution control norms are followed.

6. Staff Coordination and Supervision

• Supervise batching operators, drivers, helpers, and other plant staff.
• Allocate duties, monitor attendance, and ensure discipline and teamwork.
• Provide on-the-job training to new workers on plant operation and safety.

7. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain daily production, dispatch, and material consumption reports.
• Record downtime, maintenance activities, and breakdowns.
• Report plant performance and issues to the Plant Manager or Head Office regularly.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of RMC production processes and mix designs.
• Knowledge of concrete technology and plant equipment operation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, batching software, and basic documentation.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in RMC plant operations or similar industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
