Job Description: Chartered Accountant (CA) Position: Chartered Accountant Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Ahmedabad Reports to: CFO / Director Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview:- The Chartered Accountant will oversee financial planning, project costing, budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting for construction projects. The role requires strong expertise in managing construction-specific accounting, contract billing, vendor payments, and financial control across multiple ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities:- 1. Project Accounting & Cost Control Maintain project-wise accounts, budgets, and cost allocations. Track actual vs. budgeted project expenses and prepare variance reports. Monitor cost overruns and coordinate with project managers for corrective action. Ensure accurate recording of material consumption, subcontractor bills, and labor costs. 2. Billing, MIS & Financial Reporting Prepare client bills (RA bills, milestone bills) and ensure timely certification. Prepare monthly MIS, cash flow statements, and project profitability reports. Consolidate financial statements for the company and individual projects. Provide financial insights to management for decision-making. 3. Vendor Management & Payments Verify subcontractor bills, work orders, and rate contracts. Process vendor payments with proper documentation and reconciliation. Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles effectively. 4. Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and other statutory regulations. Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual statutory returns. Liaise with internal and external auditors for smooth audit processes. Maintain proper documentation for RERA compliance (if applicable). 5. Budgeting & Financial Planning Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections. Support management in capital planning, equipment purchase decisions, and financial modelling. 6. Treasury & Cash Flow Management Monitor site cash requirements and ensure optimal fund flow. Coordinate with banks for fund management, BG/LC issuance, and loan documentation. Skills & Qualifications:- Must-Have Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). 1–5+ years of experience (preferably in the construction/real estate/infra sector). Strong knowledge of project accounting, GST, TDS, and financial reporting. Expertise in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP / SAP / ERP systems). Preferred Experience in contractor/subcontractor billing. Understanding of construction contracts (BOQ, RA Bills, Work Orders). Knowledge of RERA rules and project finance.
