Roles and Responsibilities Collect blood samples from patients and donors using various types of blood collection tubes. Perform laboratory tests on collected blood samples to ensure their suitability for transfusion purposes. Prepare blood components such as red blood cells, platelets, and plasma for storage in the blood bank. Conduct cross-matching procedures to identify compatible blood units for transfusions.
