Your Role:

As a Sales Assistant, you will be the frontline ambassador of Maa Ilay. You will ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience, maintain store standards, and support daily sales operations. This role is perfect for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping customers while contributing to store success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement & Sales
• Welcome customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting products.
• Explain product benefits, answer questions, and drive sales.
• Create a positive shopping experience to encourage repeat visits.
• Store Operations & Inventory
• Maintain organized, clean, and attractive product displays.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and update records.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately.
• Compliance & Quality
• Follow company policies, SOPs, and hygiene standards.
• Support product quality checks, monitor shelf-life, and ensure freshness.
• Team Collaboration & Reporting
• Assist colleagues in daily tasks and collaborate to achieve store goals.
• Participate in team meetings and share suggestions for improvement.

Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and customer interactions and assist in preparing daily and weekly sales reports for management

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing experience (experience in organic or FMCG retail is a plus).
• Strong communication skills in English and Tamil.
• Customer-focused, friendly, and professional.
• Basic knowledge of billing/POS systems and inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow store procedures.
• Flexible to work on weekends, holidays, and in rotating shifts as needed.
