Job Description

As a part of Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in helping customers address the world's most pressing energy challenges. In your new role, you will be at the forefront of challenging and future-oriented tasks. Your responsibilities will include providing support for fact-finding, witnessing, and advising the Owner's staff on repair or replacement work to uphold Availability Guarantees, daily maintenance, and operation support. You will collaborate with maintenance managers to conduct technical investigations on events, faults, and problems, offering valuable insights and recommendations. Additionally, you will offer technical guidance to the Owner's staff on preparation work for Medium and Major Steam outages, unscheduled outages, and plant maintenance within your specialized area. Coordinating meetings with stakeholders, inspecting parts supplied under long-term contracts, and analyzing operational data will also be key aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10-12 years of experience or a BE in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in Steam/Gas Powerplants. Your background should include significant experience working in teams during Steam/Gas turbine outages, along with a strong technical knowledge of Steam turbines, Gas turbines, and Valves of KWU/LMZ/BHEL make. Furthermore, you should be comfortable with working in shifts, demonstrating flexibility in working hours, and being open to traveling to various Powerplant sites across India and abroad. Your role will be based in Bangalore, offering opportunities to visit different locations and work closely with diverse teams impacting cities, countries, and the future of energy.
