You should be a PhD holder in the field of energy management, particularly focusing on smart home and building environments. It would be preferred if you also possess a master's degree in the same domain. Your expertise should include a comprehensive understanding of energy management systems such as demand-response based energy management, time-of-day based energy management, and energy profiling for smart home activities. You must have strong mathematical modeling skills to effectively model various energy management scenarios. Proficiency in the internal workings of energy consumption, storage, and production for smart devices like AC, HVAC, Solar Panel, Energy Storing Batteries, Smart Switch Panels, and Smart Plugs commonly used in energy management is essential. A deep understanding of natural human behaviors, such as presence, indoor positioning, and their impact on energy consumption, as well as other external factors like weather, comfort, and clothing, is crucial. In addition, you should have expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms for implementation in the field of smart home/building energy management and handling time series energy data. Proficiency in utilizing related libraries such as Tensorflow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn in languages like Python and R is required.
