Role Description As a full-time Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets for Research Ramp. You will work closely with academic institutions and researchers to understand their needs and recommend tailored publication solutions. This hybrid role is based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with flexibility for partial remote work. Additional responsibilities include preparing sales strategies, conducting negotiations, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the enhancement of client satisfaction. Qualifications Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills Proven sales and negotiation skills with a record of meeting or exceeding targets Knowledge of the academic publishing industry, including familiarity with Scopus and Web of Science standards Ability to conduct market research and identify client needs Self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a hybrid environment Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus) Experience working in sales or business development roles (Preferably 2+ years) Previous experience or knowledge of research and academic publication processes is preferred
