Do you have a passion for markets and a desire to continually learn new things Are you interested in delving into data and then stepping back to assess the bigger picture If so, we are seeking an Analyst/Strategist to join our team. As an Analyst/Strategist, your responsibilities will include setting up, maintaining, and building databases and chart libraries, automating existing databases, creating, analyzing, and interpreting macro and financial models, tracking macro-economic and financial data and their impact on global markets, providing end-to-end support for publications, and working under the guidance of senior team members located in different regions. You will be part of a team based in Hyderabad, India, collaborating with the rates strategy team in London and New York. The team focuses on forecasting, offering insights on rates markets, and analyzing economic conditions affecting the rates market with the goal of becoming a leading strategy team providing valuable perspectives to navigate evolving markets. To excel in this position, you should possess expertise in building and maintaining databases and charts related to rates market analysis, developing quantitative tools, models, and frameworks for analyzing and forecasting rates movements, and assisting in designing and publishing regular rates research notes and ad-hoc deep dives into macroeconomic topics. Ideal candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have a basic knowledge of econometric packages like R, Eviews, and market data packages such as Bloomberg. Experience in Python coding is advantageous. Additionally, candidates should be eager to acquire new technical skills as required, well-versed in International Economics, market fundamentals, and their drivers, detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks accurately within tight deadlines, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and be willing to collaborate effectively in a team environment while being flexible with working hours.
