Your key responsibilities: Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches, Access points and antivirus software, storage systems, and containerized platforms. Install, configure, test, and maintain primarily Linux operating systems with Windows and Mac OS, Application software and system management software. Implement and enforce security best practices to protect the organization's systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with system configurations, and resolving user access problems. Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Track asset details such as purchase date, warranty status, configuration, and location. Ensure that purchased assets meet the organization's technical requirements and budget constraints. Identify potential vendors based on the organization's needs and requirements. Negotiate favourable terms and conditions in contracts with vendors, including pricing, delivery schedules, service level agreements (SLAs), and warranties. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and facilitate communication between vendors and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with other teams to develop and maintain business continuity plans that address both IT and non-IT aspects of business operations.
