Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer, Electrification to join our team with strong expertise in Electrical System Design to lead projects in Chargers, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and EV infrastructure The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving new product development, ensuring compliance with international standards, and leading teams to deliver high-quality solutions Job Description: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in grid support, electricity power distribution system, EV charging systems, microgrids, and BESS Design experiences with electrical panels, substations, Strong understanding of electrical grid infrastructure, renewable energy integration and related international regulations Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, PSS/E, or similar Experience with control systems, SCADA, and energy management systems Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and project management skills Select and evaluate electrical components, including power electronics components, LV components, VFD, Power modules, Converters/Inverters, Transformers, LCL Filters etc Perform Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) analysis and Arc Flash for different products from time to time Performance Evaluation of Individual Converters or Inverters and Bi-Directional Converters Experience Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline 57 years of professional experience in power distribution, grid integration, EV charging infrastructure, microgrids, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Knowledge Requirement: Proficient in electrical simulation and modelling tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, PSS/E, or equivalent Familiarity with SCADA systems, control systems, and energy management platforms Solid understanding of grid codes, international electrical standards, and compliance frameworks Personality Requirement: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Effective project management and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams Enthusiastic, positive minded and able to work well in an international client environment Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues Epiroc is a global leader in providing innovative equipment, tools, and services for the mining and construction industries Our commitment to sustainability and electrification drives our mission to create a cleaner, more efficient future If youre passionate about shaping the future of battery systems and want to be part of a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
