Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Middle School English Language Arts Teacher for our students in the US. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective ELA lessons for middle school students, developing engaging curriculum and lesson plans, and fostering strong skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The teacher will design activities that build comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and written expression, evaluate student progress on a regular basis, and create a positive and engaging online learning environment aligned with US school curricula.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge and expertise in English Language Arts for Middle School
• Minimum 5 years of experience teaching US students (through US schools or established US based online platforms, not just a few private US students)
• Solid understanding of the US Common Core Curriculum for English Language Arts
• Proven experience teaching Middle School students (Grades 6 to 8)
• Familiarity with modern ELA teaching methodologies and best practices in reading and writing instruction
• Skills in curriculum development and instructional design for middle school English
• Effective classroom management and communication skills to engage and inspire students in an online setting
• Ability to assess and adapt to diverse learning needs and learning styles
• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure is highly desirable
• Previous teaching experience in a formal middle school setting is a strong advantage
