The Engineering Manager - Electronics Hardware position in Mumbai(Dadar) requires a candidate with 8+ years of experience to lead the electronics hardware function. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accountable execution, high-quality product development, and timely delivery of hardware programs. Your expertise in technical aspects, leadership qualities, and commercial understanding will be pivotal in leading teams that have successfully delivered consumer electronics products at scale. In this strategic and operational role, your responsibilities will include team building, vendor coordination, execution control, and maintaining a balance between cost and quality. You will be responsible for driving product delivery from concept to mass production through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will involve leading and managing a cross-functional electronics team, recruiting and retaining high-performing engineering talent, establishing strong engineering discipline, and fostering a culture of accountability, speed, and collaboration. Additionally, you will oversee end-to-end electronics development, track execution stages, conduct technical reviews, and manage engineering schedules, budgets, and risk plans in alignment with business goals. Furthermore, you will be required to coordinate with global EMS/ODM partners and component suppliers, integrate external development efforts, evaluate supplier capabilities, collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams, and act as a bridge between engineering execution and business priorities. Your role will also involve participating in trade-off discussions, collaborating with product and marketing teams, and ensuring readiness for global markets. To be successful in this role, you should have 8-15 years of experience in electronics hardware development with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, a proven track record of shipping consumer-facing electronics products, strong understanding of various technologies, experience managing hardware programs, project management skills, and familiarity with DFM, cost engineering, and regulatory frameworks. A degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent is required (B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech).
