Registered Nurse - IR/Radiology

As a Nurse PD at UC San Diego Health, you will be part of a prestigious Magnet designated organization that values equity, diversity, and inclusion. Your role will involve providing autonomous nursing care in UCSD Interventional Radiology departments at multiple locations, with the primary focus on the East Campus. You will support areas within the radiology department as needed and practice autonomously in line with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess and provide nursing actions appropriate for patient care populations - Practice autonomously with independent judgment within interdisciplinary approaches - Support IR, Radiology, and Vascular access departments at various UCSD locations - Orient and work at East Campus, La Jolla, and Hillcrest Hospitals - Obtain PICC insertion training and competency within 6 months - Obtain PALS certification within 6 months - Obtain Moderate Sedation Certification within 3 months of hire - Have a minimum of 1 year of IR, Cath Lab, or Procedural experience - Preferred qualifications include a BSN, Moderate Sedation Certification, US IV Insertion and PICC insertion experience, and Vascular Access Certification **Qualifications Required:** - Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing - RN License issued by the State of California - BLS and ACLS at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months of hire date - Flexibility to orient and work at various hospital locations - Must have a minimum of 1 year of IR, Cath Lab, or Procedural experience - Preferred qualifications include a BSN, Moderate Sedation Certification, US IV Insertion, PICC insertion experience, and Vascular Access Certification If employed by UC San Diego, you will need to comply with the vaccination program policy. Additionally, life-support certifications must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment.
