Description
You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development as a WordPress Developer, which includes creating WordPress themes and plugins. You should possess a combination of programming skills such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as an understanding of aesthetics in terms of element arrangements, color choices, and font selections. Your main responsibilities will include designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the architecture of websites, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. You will also be involved in formulating effective, responsive designs and transforming them into functional themes and plugins. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing new plugins and updating existing ones. To excel in this role, you should have a good grasp of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience in building user interfaces for websites or web applications, designing responsive design websites, and working with debugging tools like Firebug and Chrome inspector is essential. You should be able to understand CSS changes and their impact on style consistency across various platforms and browsers. Moreover, the ability to convert layout and wireframes into HTML pages, knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and formats like JSON and XML, and proficiency in code versioning tools like Git, SVN, and Mercurial are required. A strong understanding of PHP back-end development and familiarity with the WordPress framework are also important.
