R&D Principal Technologist, Dev - AI Core Services Development

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Principal Technologist, Dev - AI Core Services Development to join our team in Bangalore on a Regular, Full-Time basis. In this role, you will report to the R&D Senior Manager and be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling AI-enabling platform services and public APIs that are secure, reliable, and cloud-native. These services will play a crucial role as foundational building blocks for AI adoption across AVEVAs product portfolio and partner ecosystem. As a member of the Core AI Services team, you will collaborate within a Scrum team to build innovative, standards-compliant, and production-grade AI capabilities. Your role will involve rapid prototyping, continuous improvement, and fostering an agile, start-up mentality. Key responsibilities include building scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure, developing secure public APIs and SDKs, collaborating with cross-functional teams for end-to-end solutions, embedding security controls for data protection, contributing to design and code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and working on AI solutions such as model deployment and AI tooling development. Ideal candidates should have 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform or cloud-native service development using Microsoft and .NET technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, RESTful API design, securing APIs, and collaborating in Agile teams is essential. Moreover, expertise in AI frameworks, tools, and Python is required. The successful candidate will also have experience working with Large Language Models, AI standards, ML algorithms, and a commitment to responsible AI development.
