As a Research Software Engineer, your role involves building and developing systems to make the underlying research technology accessible for solving real-time NLP problems. Your responsibilities will include participating in basic and applied research on various text analytics and machine learning projects. You will be expected to identify new research opportunities and develop innovative technology solutions to address research problems. Your creativity and adaptability will play a crucial role in anticipating competition moves, responding quickly to market changes, and addressing evolving customer needs. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in basic and applied research on text analytics and machine learning projects. - Identify new research opportunities and develop innovative technology solutions. - Leverage creativity and adaptability to anticipate competition moves and respond to market changes. - Support ever-evolving customer needs. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in coding in at least one object-oriented language (Java, C#, C++, etc.) and one scripted language (Python, Perl, etc.). - Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design. - Experience in machine learning, text classification, information extraction, and Noun Entity Resolution with a demonstrable interest in natural language processing. - Self-driven individual who prefers working in an agile manner. - Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including hands-on technical experience. - Ability to take bold initiatives, solve hard problems, prioritize work, and make decisions. In addition to the above qualifications, the following preferred qualifications are desired: - Extensive background in algorithms and strong software architecture skills. - MS/Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics or machine learning. - Excellent communication skills. - Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving and technical innovation.
