Key Responsibilities: Assist in conducting visual and dimensional inspections of steel pipes, tubes, and components. Support the QC team in performing basic non-destructive testing (NDT) like DPT (Dye Penetrant Test) and UT (Ultrasonic Test) under supervision. Maintain inspection records and update quality checklists and logs accurately. Report any deviations, defects, or non-conformities to the QC Engineer or Supervisor. Help in checking calibration status of measuring instruments and gauges. Ensure quality procedures and safety standards are followed on the shop floor. Participate in quality audits and prepare basic documentation as required. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering. 0–2 years of experience in a steel plant or manufacturing industry (Freshers with good technical knowledge can apply). Key Skills Required: Basic knowledge of measuring instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, and gauges. Understanding of quality control principles and steel manufacturing processes Willingness to learn NDT techniques and quality standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME). Good observation skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in shifts and factory environment.
